One of our instructors, Dr. James Waller, has written a book called Becoming Evil: How Ordinary People Commit Genocide and Mass Killing, which one would think Annan had read, given his seeming commitment to the subject. Though a conference that would branch out from the normative educational approach into proper policy discussion that can help redefine some of these issues would be fantastic...always up for a new initiative!
